Tour of My Existence

A month ago, working as a volunteer, I was quite suffered from stress. My nights was overflow with office work. My weekends was nothing. Full of agenda and unfinished business, where I need to finish my designs. I couldn't sleep peacefully.
I was the only guy, who setups the computer/projector for meetings. I was the only guy, who prepares the meeting agenda. I was the guy, who used to work as a clicker during meetings. I was the guy, who designs pamphlet, background and etc, which used Adobe Photoshop. In fact, I was the only guy, who works in the office, as a volunteer.


I could sleep in peace. No more unpaid overtime. No more sufferings. I was quite free. Thanks to those new three volunteers, those new guys.

Discussion and Task Allocation is a MUST!!!

At work, my past job task is now taken over by those three. One of them took over the meeting preparation, plus the meeting agenda. One of them took my design task, which need a lot of creative skills. Another guy, once in a while will help me, faxing and printing.

Restless.
Currently. I have two main tasks. One is to prepare a slide show. Kind of like an information kiosk. But with no user interface. Just a slide show of events in Sarawak. There are a few things that I need to do. Selecting pictures of past events, and preparing the upcoming events. By asking the Office Section of our unit.

Another part of my daily task, is to send a reminder of outstanding complaints from the public through our public complaint channel, TALIKHIDMAT. To those who don't know about this channel. It is actually a channel that receive complaints of all sorts from public towards the state(Sarawak) departments/agencies. The first time I heard about this channel when I first started working in UPAK. In fact, this channel existed since 1996. That was 14 years ago. Since we received complaints on a daily basis, we need to send reminders everyday regarding cases that was overdue after 14 days(the time required to give response). Therefore, even though its quite easy to send reminder to those departments/agencies, it requires determination and persistence.Without those two, there will be no action on the public complaints. In the end, the people will take consequences from our lack of duty.


Luckily those three came to our office. They came at the most crucial time. They came when we were in the preparation of Independence and Malaysia Day. Otherwise, I might be stressful in handling preparing the meetings and agenda, designing the program book and the stage background. Luckily, they came. To help me. To help me ease the pain.
