A doctor.
It used to be my ambition, when I was in high school. But now, it just reminds me of a version that I could be. Or a version of me that I would never become.
As a profession.
In order to become a doctor, a surgeon for that matter, it is not easy. It requires hard work, and lots of motivation. It needs high level of focus, because you know why, it will takes all of your time. It takes forever. Before you get a license to get your knowledge into practice. Five years in college. Three years as an intern. So, it takes at least eight years before you can become a doctor. Not too mention, if you failed your assessments.
But, being a doctor is not that easy. Its not that simple.
It's not only about books and classes.
It's not only about definitions and descriptions.
It's something far from what you could've imagine.
Being a doctor, its about making right decisions.
And its not about choosing your specialty, whether its cardio or pediatrician, but its about people lives. Its about life and death. A wrong decision could lead to death.
With people lives on your hands, you couldn't afford to make mistakes.
A mistake is not an option for doctors. A hunch isn't something that they can take for granted.
When people lives is at stake.
However, death is an absolute subject and sometimes, doctor do make mistakes too.
And so, they need to accept the fact that they made mistakes.
They need to accept the truth that they did their best to their abilities.
Then, here comes the hardest part. The confrontation.
A confrontation to the family members.
When denial is in motion, you know that its hard to convey the truth.
To make matters worst, this is a skill that you didn't learn in books.
You just have to know, what is right or wrong to say. To comfort them, the best way possible.

Another side to the same story.
What if someone close to you just died?
A family perhaps. Or a patient, where you got too attached to, died under your supervision.
Will things will ever be the same? Will you be able to continue with your lives?
I guess not. Even though doctors look tough on the exterior, but deep inside, they are affected to the loss of lives. Because, the reason is this. They are human too.
Foot Note: Grey's Anatomy influenced me to write this. Her anatomy really taught me how to appreciate my life. It really taught me a lesson that I will never learn anywhere else.

Luckily, I didn't choose that path.

bagi kmk lah. org jadi doktor org nok tepilih jak. yerrr. bukan calang2 org pat jd doktor. dh la ngambik masa yg lmak. bak kata mak kmk. dh berumur dah bok pat jd doktor mena2. bukan doktor bulak2 ye bro.
hahaha.bena kata kitak, mun mek jadi doktor tek.makin bena tangisan sik beraek mata gik mek.suruh hafal fakta yang memeningkan.yer, mek layak amik kos biasa2 jak..mek sik suka hafal, tapi suka ngira! erk, subject feveret mek research methodology! haha..sik suka bio! :DD
kmk gik pening palak.. sikpat baca abis entry ktk tapi berkisar hal doktor. kmk nak padah.. mek sik suka doc.. mek sik tauk pahal... huhu tp kmk suka ngaco barang2 doc mun kmk jumpa doc.. adakah kerana faktor kmk sik suka sidak? huhuhu....

Funny isnt it, how alike some kids could be... we all one time or another wanted to be a doctor. :-) But i realised after falling sick right after dissecting a frog that i cud never be a doctor. i just dont have the right nerve for that

p.s: mun dh belah katak dah sakit...apatah lgk mun bedah bdn manusia...hehe...
hehe..kotan bena ilak nangis tek..haha..gik mek ambik course tok mala nangis bila sik pat catch up..ya bapak mek madah, org cepat down kedak mek sik pat di duga bena ilak,,cepat ilak kalah..tapi mek tauk sine kemampuan kmk..hehe..mek jadi doktor tumbuhan jak la..molah research tentang penyakit2 tumbuhan tok..haha..mek sik suka bio, p mek sik pat lalri dah dari bioplants! hoho
hahaha...bagus2...asalkan dapat jd doktor...

yup, buat phd.dapat title doktor.tapi mek sik tauk, mampu sik kmk ke tahap ya..tp insyaALLAH, kmk akan mencuba :)
