Tips: Easiest Way To Learn English

So, here is the thing.
All this time, I've been hearing people complaints.
Giving excuses actually.

"I can't speak English very well"
"My English is not good"
"My weakness is English"
Globalization has provides us with the virtual world of online. So, use it. [source]
From the way I look at it, this is a problem.
I know, for some, they thought English is not important.
But to survive, in this harsh and competitive world.
English is the core to success.

Admitting the problem is just part of the equation.
But what we need is the next step.
A step forward, which will lead us to the solution.
So, let's see the easiest and simplest way to learn English:

1. Watch TV
You all watch TV right. Who doesn't? Nowadays, I believe, all TV stations have translations, at the bottom. So, start learning from there. Don't just "watch" those TVs. Focuses on the storyline. But, watch and learn. Learn on how to translate the sentences. Learn on how to translate Malay words into English, and vice-versa.

2. Watch English Drama/Movie with English Subtitles
I love watching English Drama Series and English Movies. So, most of the time, I learns from there. This English subtitle is the actual "script" from their conversations. So, what can I learn from there? I learn on how to pronounce the words. I learn on how to spell the words.

3. Join English Forums
Do you have a hobby? Or something that you're passionate about? Use this as a foundation. Join forums, which discuss the subjects that you like. Communicate with others in English, and be friends with them. Throughout this process, you can learn a thing or two from other people, which English is their mother tongue.

4. Listen and Sing Together
I love to sing. Alone. With no audience. ^_^ . It's like a karaoke session. I find lyrics, to the English songs that I love to listens to. At first, I listen to the song, continuously. As I know how to sing it, I sing according to the lyrics, which I memorized earlier. So, from there, I kind of improve my pronunciation.

5. Use Google
While watching TVs and listening to music, if you find words, which you don't understand the meaning. Use Google. There is no more time to search for translation in that thick and heavy dictionary. Just write the words into the Google search box, and Voilà, a series of websites with translations. And you could also use the Google Translation tool in Google.

6. Be Proactive
In order to improve your English, you need to practice. Practice makes perfect, remember? But, how to do it? Simple. Use all the opportunities that you have. During discussions with your boss or in meetings, use English. If you answer the phones, answer with this, "Hello, this is syaftome speaking.". If you have presentations, do it in English. But before that, you need to rehearse. Rehearse on the topic and your pronunciations.

7. Proof-read your English
In writings, you need to proof-read your sentences. One thing, which you could do, is to ask others, who have wide knowledge on English, mostly on grammars. And the other technique is to use Microsoft Word, which I usually do. Because from there, you'll knows which sentence is wrong, and they also provides solutions and suggestions.
