The True Meaning of Strength

Mahatma Gandhi, the ideological leader of India once said,
"Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will."

But why he said that actually?
Aren't we strong when we could pull a loaded airplane with our bare hands?
Aren't we strong when we could jog around the city for days non-stop?
Or aren't we strong when there is nothing that could harm us physically?
The answer, is absolutely a big fat NO.
The strength actually comes from wisdom and motivation.

And so, right now, we are not talking about the physical capability.
But instead, it's all about the human strength against all anonymity.
Against all odds with the right mind capacity.
With the shield of heart versus every negativity.

When we think about it, in life, there are various possibility. There are many paths towards an end. But one goal remains the same. We all wants to be happy. By being successful of course. Because, in every human heart, deep inside, nobody wants to live on the streets. Begging for spare changes from those who passes by. Naturally, they also wants to become happy.

However, in the pursuit of happiness, there comes many challenges and obstacles. Hindering us to reach the ultimate possession of life. The true meaning of being alive. Put aside, these kind of thing will never leaves us alone. Keeps on dragging on our feet, hoping that we would fail. To bring us down, where ultimately it'll become the trigger for us to crush ourselves from within.

In the meantime, it's very important to never lose hope. Through that long and dark path, there's still light of a brighter future. There's still a chance to redeem ourselves for one's true desire. And through that brief open of a window, there's still time to correct things and do it much better.

Therefore, all I'm saying, the true meaning of strength, the definition of being strong could derive different results in each of our life diary. My life situation must have entirely distinctive criteria than yours. And your problems probably require different approach than mine. In the end, we are all unique, in a way. And thus, the difference in terminology of the definition.

For those who fails all the time, the true meaning of strength is when they could wake up and try again. For those who have physical disabilities, the true meaning of strength is when they could put a smile on their face with high self-esteem or when they could act as if nothing was wrong with them. And for those who keeps on getting insulted and humiliated, by people who likes to see they go down, the true meaning of strength is when they could ignore those things completely and still be positive in whatever they do.

And last but not least, the strongest of all, I believes, are those who can keep being truthful. Because being honest is the most difficult task. Keeping away hidden agendas and hinder ourselves from lying are the hardest part of being a human. Furthermore, being truthful is not just about refraining the truth from others but most importantly from ourselves. Because, sometimes, whenever we are lying to others, we are actually trying to lie to ourselves. Deep inside, we know that we can't overcome that fear within us. But however, in order to demolish those scare factors, in order to become strong, we need to be brave. Once that foundation has been build, there will be nothing or nobody that could stop us emerge from the depth of weakness to the rise of a strong person.

you're missing 't' there, its should strength.

the real strength lies in mind, not body. don't forget "gajah takut tikus". irony it's a shame, but somehow true.
